Explain the geographical factors that have contributed to the making of Myanmar as natural entity?
Myanmar is the located at the center of tripod of East Asia. South Asia and southeast Asia, sandwiched between Thailand and Laos to the East, India and Bangladesh to west and china to north being a member nation of the Asian, Myanmar has the largest in the size among the ten Asian countries that: Myanmar, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Brunei, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand. Myanmar also the largest of peninsular among these countries the size is about 676,577 square kilometers equal of France and England combined together.
As the natural Myanmar has the integrated geographical and entity and amphibious country with the land and long sea coast line. Myanmar coast line is about 2832 kilometers. Mountain ranges and rivers from natural borders between Myanmar neighbors, the geographical factors at ancient time people from different countries immigrant in Myanmar , so Myanmar it was the intermingling between indigenous people and immigrants’ people. Today there are 135 ethnics group of Myanmar belong to Mongolia stock.
The union of Myanmar administratively divided into seven division and seven states following as
Seven division; Sagaing division, Mandalay division, Magway division, Legu division, Yangon division, Ayeyawaddy division and Taninthayre division.
Seven states; Kachin states, Chin state, Shan state, Kayin state, Kayah state, Mon state and Rakhine state.
The most physical features of Myanmar such as mountains, hills, streams, river, valley, plains, deltas, islands run from north to the south but all within country, the Mekong river shared to neighbors countries, it is very particular features that form a distinct geographical unit and Myanmar has existence as a political entity for along time, however culturally and geographically, Myanmar is not isolated the fossils of primate at rondaung prove that Myanmar has share in the evolution of mankind.
Myanmar has the nature resources such as gems stones gas, oil and mineral deposits, as well as fauna and flora so Myanmar has possessed huge stand of teak and others hardwoods. According to the most recently world development report said that the Myanmar played the role of leader among the kingdoms of the Southeast Asia . Myanmar introduced Buddhism to the neighbor’s countries and later become the champion of this faith.
