Mahasi Sayadaw's Disciples

 Mahasi Sayadaw had several notable disciples who have continued to spread his teachings around the world. Some of his most prominent disciples include:

  1. Sayadaw U Pandita: A highly respected meditation master who has taught extensively in Myanmar and internationally.
  2. Sayadaw U Janaka: Known for his teachings at Chanmyay Yeiktha in Yangon, Myanmar.
  3. Sayadaw U Sīlānanda: Another prominent teacher who has contributed to the spread of Vipassana meditation.
  4. Anagarika Munindra: A well-known meditation teacher who has taught in India and the United States.
  5. Joseph Goldstein: One of the founders of the Insight Meditation Society (IMS) in Barre, Massachusetts, USA.
  6. Sharon Salzberg: Another co-founder of IMS, who has been instrumental in popularizing mindfulness and meditation in the West.
